Description / Information:
Packed weight = 01.30kg. Please note that this is a heavy item and may require extra postage. Please contact us using the 'Ask the Bookseller a Question' link before placing your order. 2 volumes in generally excellent condition overall. Excellent engraved frontis in vol1. Lovely folding map in Vol two. Documents devoted to an account of the Basque peoples are rare among popular literature even today, so this informal historical account of one man's military involvement set against the backdrop of Basque culture and climes is quite fascinating. Internally generally very clean with only minimal marking. Volume 1 has the private bookplate of the Duke of Montrose. Above the bookplate is a signature - it is not known if this is an important signature. The same signature exists in Vol 2. The paper covered boards are in very good condition with some corner wear. The Books have been re-backed using the original boards and with the original spines laid down so the bindings are tight and secure. Buying more than one book will save on postage costs. We have split our books into 70 + categories. The Bianco Library website has 5 pictures of this book including both medium and large images.
