Description / Information:
Generally Good/No Dust Jacket. Bookseller A Question' button. Packed weight = 00.50kg Minimum postage applies. In the period before the Meccano Magazine had covers. The first coloured cover appeared in July 1923. These were printed on relatively poor quality paper and as a result, are very difficult to find in complete and undamaged condition. The issues for 1920 and earlier - nos 1-15 inclusive are incredibly difficult to acquire in any condition. We have a few. They have browning to paper and some splits and no 15 is the normal Meccano magazine format and has 8 pages. No 15 is worn with some darkening and the front is somewhat grubby and has tears on the fold line. This comes with a quality coloured photocopy taken from an original taken in better condition (£35). June/July 1920 (no 13) and earlier are the larger format of 4 pages and measure 257mm by 340mm. No 13 has closed tears on centrefold - small loss on bottom right corner (1cm by 2cm) - no loss of text. Limited amount of ink underlining and 6 small page underlines in the first column on the front page. A presentable copy; the damage mainly resulting from the fragility of the paper (£50). March/April 1920 (no 12) has some enclosed tears but no loss. Edges are in pretty good condition. Some wear on folds but only limited edge browning and generally crisp edges (£75) no 12 is NOW SOLD. November / December 1919 - age browning; closed tears on folds and edge wear but still intact and quite readable (£55). Please contact us with details of particular issues you require. We also have a significant number in the period 1920 - 1981. Prices varying according to condition and scarcity.
