This is the James George Button Printing as oppoased to the Forbes, Sangster printing. Internally generally in very good bright condition but with occasional marks. Thousands of brilliant black and white engravings throughout. 39 magnificent colour plates. The original blind stamped cloth bindings with decoration are worn but sound, Some damage to volume II rear board and wear to corners with a little loss to one. That said these are splendid volumes packed with ecellent illustrations. The page edges are generally crisp. Priced to refelct condition.
