July 1923 is the first issue with coloured covers and they went from 12 pages to 20 pages and the magazine was gradually extended thereafter. July 1923 has the Meccano Loom plus a dock crane and is complete without splits and tears. The cover is in generally good condition with foxing at the top margin of the rear cover (£20). August has the Blackpool Tower on the cover, name of Slades Stores on the top of the front cover. Slade Stores stamped across the rear. Complete, bright and in excellent condition (£20). September is also in remarkable condition but without any shop stamps (£22.50). October is in very good order with two stamp marks for 'Husbands, Bristol' on the front cover. Clean and bright cover (£20). November is similar to September except that there is a small closed tear on the back two pages and a little more edge marking. The front cover shows the 6 foot high Meccano clock and is bright (£20). December is an extended issue with many more adverts. The rear cover is creased and marked but complete except for one edge chip at the top and is separated from the front cover. Wear to the spine edge and corners but the front cover showing Father Christmas in the aeroplane is reasonably bright with only minor creasing. There is an article on the 'Monster Bridge' proposed for New York. The rear page of adverts has a few marks. Some rusting to the staples, otherwise the interior of the magazine is very good (£25). Please contact us with details of particular issues you require. We also have a significant number in the period 1920 - 1981. Prices varying according to condition and scarcity.
