A first edition of a very scarce Sussex book. This is the standard and only serious general History of Shoreham. Cheal's other book is on the Mariners of Shoreham. Boards and spine good, clean and bright. Some bumping to corners. Contents excellent and clean with only the slightest evidence of foxing. Many black and white illustrations. Fold out map in excellent order without creases. 274pp The post war reprint is now itself quite scarce and commands around £25 to £30 in excellent order with dustwrapper.
