Description / Information:
This is the issue with a green background to the front page with the Yorkshire Pullman on the front cover. the date code is Oct 1949. The second series has this printed on the front cover and has a red background with the date code Sept 1950. This first edition is marginally better quality of reproduction than the later second series of 1950. The covers are in very good condition, are complete without loss and do not have inscriptions and the excellent photographs within are clear and bright and generally excellent condition. I also have the even nicer "Studies in Steam" published in 1947. Both are lovely atmospheric items of the period
