This is in the wonderful green publishers cloth with elaborate gold blocking on the front board and the spine. The boards and the spine are excellent and bright. Original yellow end papers. These are very heavy books and the bindings normally become a little loose. Packed with chapters by different authors on life in London. Printed on art paper and profusely illustrated. This is a must for any collector of London Books or anyone interested in life in the City at the opening of the twentieth century. Vol 3 includes a chapter by Leech on Railway London, and chapters on Criminal London and Water London. Vol 2 has chapters on New Scotland Yard, The Post Office, Cricket London, Hooligan London and interestingly how London is Lit electrically.
