Description / Information:
Original Hornby showcard used in shops etc in very good bright un-faded condition. Cardboard on back is clean and there are no drawing pin holes! This was made by printing on paper which was then stuck to stout buff "Meccano" cardboard and then cut to shape. The card has a stout cardboard support bracket fixed to the back. Very rare in this condition explaining the price. This card is very rare in this condition because the protruding wings are normally damaged. Aeroplanes were introduced in 1931 and in the autumn of 1933 the "special" sets were introduced. The majority of these cards came from the early promotional period following the introduction of the "special sets". This card is in excellent condition throughout and is very bright and clean. There are very slight creases to some of the corners but otherwise fine. There is no code but probably circa 1934.
