Not available to Canada as over the weight limit for Canadian Post. Very interesting set as it bears an inscription on the title pages of both volumes "Mrs A Bough from Lady Sophia Cecil Jubilee Year 1887". Two volumes undated but probably c 1884 and assumed to be first editions in this form. References in the article on Kew Gardens the date 1879 is mentioned. Profusely illustrated. Vol 1 576 pages, Vol 2 560 pages including detailed index to both volumes. Plus publications list. Cassell's Greater London is offered in a single option in two volumes at 9s each. Old and New Edinburgh was offered in both cloth and a more expensive Library Binding. Fold out map of London in Volume 1 in very good condition with some slight wear etc. map contained in special pouch bound in to the front board. Map printed in blue and black. Top edges of pages Gold. Binding is red brown cloth with five gold straps that follow round to the back and front boards and gold decoration on spines. In very good condition overall. Mostly very clean, crisp and bright internally with some very light occasional foxing etc. Tissue guard to forntis of vol 1 foxed. Many fascinating plates and line engravings. Boards are in generally very good condition with some slight discolouration to the bottom right hand corners. Spines in slightly dull condition but with bright gold. Slight scuffing to head and foot of spines. Sound tight bindings. Black end papers without inscriptions. A lovely set. Buying more than one book will save on postage costs.
