Description / Information:
In very good condition. Large rolled up maps showing in various details plans for a graving Dock in Montevideo. Linen copies - 7 rolled up plans as follows: Drawing no.1 is of Montevideo Bay in Uraguay showing the proposed Graving Dock - a location map. Taken from a map surveyed by Captain W J L Wharton RN and officers of HMS Sylvia in 1883. Drawing no. 2 is Montevideo Harbour proposed Graving Dock taken from an admiralty chart. Drawing 2a is a different location for the Graving Dock. Drawing no. 3 is similar to Drawing 2 but a bigger scale of the harbour. Drawing No.3a is similar to drawing 2a but a bigger scale of the harbour. Drawing 4 is general plan of outer harbour with details of boring. Drawing 5 is of the general plan and in sections.
