Description / Information:
19 lovely town plans from Birmingham to York and Durham including one on London's railways. The main maps (plates 17 to 51) are at a Scale of 3 miles to the inch (interestingly the index refers to 4 inches to the mile but looking at the scale on the maps themselves and doing a visual check it is 3 not 4!). Includes physical and statistical information - double page spreads (plates 2 to 16 inclusive). Plate 1 is the frontis photo-relief map with vertical section. The neat owner inscription on the front free end paper is dated 1900.In very good condition overall. Internally this book is very clean with a large number of excellent colour maps. Boards and spine in generally in good condition with some bumping to corners. Mark on rear board. See photograph at above link. Lovely tight binding. Original spine has been re-laid using matching cloth. This is a heavy book - please enquire for cost of postage. Buying more than one book will save on postage costs.
