This is the actual original 'printer's proof copy' In good condition overall. We have 4 pictures with maxiviews available on our website. Please view before considering purchase. For the initiated this can be done by putting slash lowercase b underscore 9204 after our web address. Internally mostly very clean. Interestingly the plates that are loosely inserted at the front were not used in the published edition. They are all Spurling and are: Star of India Golden Fleece Archibald Russell Leander Ross-shire Tamar The foldout map at the rear is hand annotated in red and these amendments are incorporated in the published edition. The Introduction is on 4 smaller sized loose sheets stapled together and not bound in. This is dated 24th June 1927 different size paper and is loose. The foreword had obviously not yet been written, as the title page leaves the foreword section blank. Plain card covers worn and marked (see photo) but largely complete with some tears.
