Extremely interesting and informative woodcuts illustrations. 8 page catalogue bound into rear. Includes an interesting section on the Thames tunnel which at that time had yet to be completed. It was considered an engineering marvel equal tto the Menai bridge of Telford and the Eddystone Lighthouse of Smeaton. The Waterloo Bridge of Rennie. There is an illustation of the shield used by the men to excavate the tunnel. This bears the stamps of the Railway Club 57 Fetter Lane, EC4. and the stamp on the tiotle page. Has been rebound in 3/4 leather in marble boards. 340pp. Buying more than one book will save on postage costs. We have split our books into 70 + categories.
