In very good condition overall. Rare private publication. This is the diary of a motor trip made by Alicia Amherst, Lady Rodney, Crawford Robinson and Clifford made between July 27th and 21st August 1912. The trip included Kent, Sussex, Hampshire and on up to herfordshire and North Wales. It lists all the noble gfamilies and there relatives that the b travellers caled on. This copy was inscribed to 'darling Eva' and bears the name Eva Lisborne on the front cover. Alice Amherst became Mrs Evelin Cecil in 1898 and Lady Rockley in 1934. 1865 - 1941. Author of the classic work "History of Gardening" 1895. She was known as citizen and gardener of London. Daughter of the First Baron Amherst of Hackney. Please see photographs for full description.
