Gardens,include Levens, Great Tangley, Crathes, Hardwick, Montacute, Ramscliffe, Berkeley CastleKellie, Penshurst, Cleeve Pror, Brickwall, Compton Wynyates These are supplemented by 50 superb, beautiful colour plates taken from drawings by George S Elgood. See photographs for examples. This is one of the truly great books of the period and is thoroughly recommended. CONDITION: The contents are in excellent clean condition with only occasional very light foxing mainly confined to the title page and the cover pages of the plates. See photographs. Plates and main text pages are generally very clean and bright. See photographs. Original free end papers in excellent condition, with one neat inscription dated Xmas 1905. Original blue publisher's cloth professionally refurbished - please refer to photographs for full information. There are two separate photographs of the boards because the size of the book made a single photograph rather difficult to show the detail. Buying more than one book will save on postage costs.
