This is a 2 volume set in lovely bright contemporary red cloth boards and leather spine and corners. This has many full page coloured plates (vol I 37 & vol 2 42 and 709 wood engravings). Lowe was famous for his masterworks on ferns, grasses and beautiful leaved plants - please see the photographs for examples of this. Internally the volumes are largely clean with very occasional light foxing to some pages. The contemporary boards and spines are in generally very good condition with a few marks. Gold lettering on spines is still bright. Buying more than one book will save on postage costs. We have split our books into 70 + categories.
