Description / Information:
This late 1930's book is in generally very good condition. Binding is strong. Boards in good bright condition with bright gold on spine. There is some surface damage to an area of the blank front free end paper. Book contains some excellent coloured plates of famous express trains. There are some very interesting pictures of track laying and bridges evocative of the great age of steam before the second war, Dust jacket condition is worn with some creases, closed tears and some stains and with centre part of spine and one small area at the top of the front cover missing. The dust wrapper is in a protective plastic sleeve. It is rare to find a complete dust wrapper and even more for one to be in excellent condition. The back and very attractive front pictures are all very clearly visible and bright, even allowing for the damage. Classic book with a number of brilliant pictures. good photographs.
