Description / Information:
First edition of 1947. Lovely high quality photographic illustrations. These illustrations are all in excellent condition, including the coloured plate of the GWR up postal from Penzance. Signs of fading at edges of pages which is a feature of the paper used for printing this book back in 1947. has an interesting dustwrapper. The rear contains book descriptions with pictures of Narrow Gauge Railways of Ireland and The Railways of Tottenham. The inside rear flap has san advert for issue three of Railway Pictorial with the picture of the attractive early card covers used for the first four issues. The dustwrapper is not price clipped. All the text and pictures are distinct and clear. The wrapper is in a protective sleeve and has some chipping to top and bottom of spine and corners and wear and marks. The front has a very attractive drawing of a locomotive steaming into a tunnel - one of my favourites of the Nock books. This is in our good condition category.
