Very heavy book so please contact us befpore ordering through ABE as standard postage artes do not apply. In very good condition overall. 5 of Bunyan's most famous works in one volume. Mostly very clean inside with some fine colour plates as well as numerous other illustrations. Full leather boards are beautifully decorated in gold and are in fine and bright condition. The spine has faded a little but is still relatively bright. ADDITIONAL INFO: Lovely book, generally clean and bright without inscriptions. Large print 900 pages. Publisher James Semple 7 Sterling Road Glasgow. Printed by Dunn and Wright Glasgow. 140 effective wood engravings throughout the volume from the burin pf Mr Williams produced from original drawings prepared expressly for this edition". Scott, Cheever and Mason Illustrative note adopted. No date. 30 pages "Bunyan and his times" by Dr Cheever. Numerous full page colour printed plates which indicate late Victorian period - possibly 1880's. You may be able to date from the metal edged binding shown on the photo on the website.
