One of a limited print run of 350. "Not to be reprinted". Printed at the Chiswick Press. Illustrated by many reproductions of his pictures; drawings; studies and woodcuts. Pages 1 to 72 are about pinwell. This is followed by pages 73 to 158 which include the index and lists of the artist's exhibited and engraved works and a catalogue of the slae of his works after his death.Generally excellent; bright and clean internally; occasional foxing to original tissue guards etc. Dull marked spine with some bumping top and bottom .Strange dust wrapper that may have been made by Anthony Estill. Previously in the library of the famous collectors Robin de Beaumont and then Anthony David Estill. All bookplates on front paste down. Foxing to endpapers. The frontispiece reads: 'A consideration of the life and works of George John Pinwell (1842-1875) together with lists of his exhibited and engraved works and a catalogue of the sale of his works after his death. Illustrated by many reproductions of his pictures; drawings; studies and woodcuts'.
