Description / Information:
Packed weight = 00.95kg. Minimum postage applies. In very good condition overall. Internally generally very clean with occasional illustrations. Boards in very good condition with one or two small marks. Bright gold title. Spine has faded. Transparent plastic jacket in good condition - largely complete. Extra Note: I have Dormer Forest and Golden Arrow. Both were from the private collection of E and N Lintott with the bookplate on the free end papers. Both are the Cape illustrated editions of 1930 /31. The four flaps of the dustjacket are double thickness yellow paper unclipped with the 7/6 net price and book description. The clear plastic is held between the double thicknesses of the end flaps and have obviously been that way from the thirties. The clear plastic covers the front and rear boards and the spines. It would seem unlikely that they were sold this way but at the same time difficult to see who would go to the lengths of creating theses wrappers as they are neatly and well done. So it is all a mystery. Particularly as the only d/w on line for Golden Arrow shows a totally different coloured paper and a full paper wrapper. The books are in lovely overall condition with lovely decorated end papers but with the green of the spines faded.
