Description / Information:
All 3 volumes. All first class editions in very good condition. All volumes with a number of black and white line engravings and a few spectacular colour plates with their original protecting sheets. T.e.g. Deckle edged. Volume I has a small amount of foxing on the endpapers but is otherwise clean throughout. The front and back boards are in very good condition with one or two very small marks. The spine is very slightly worn, but still bright with clear lettering. The top and bottom of the spine have been bumped slightly. 324pp. Volume II is very clean on the inside - no sign of foxing. The boards are in very good condition with a very small mark on the front board. The spine is slightly worn but the lettering is still bright. The bottom and top of the spine have been lightly bumped as has the bottom front corner. 392pp. Volume III is clean throughout - no sign of foxing. The boards are in very good condition whilst the front board has a small slight stain. The spine is very slightly worn but is still bright and the gold lettering is still clear. The spine is slightly creased at the bottom. 360pp. In all 3 volumes, the binding is tight. All 3 volumes have an ex library sticker on the inside of the front cover. On some plates there is a small stamp in the top right corner but this does not detract from the brilliantness of the plates. We have further photos available of the binding and other plates.
