Description / Information:
In very good condition overall. Donated to library with presentation plate. Original full leather boards with gold decoration are complete and marked with some signs of wear. New leather spine. Original marble endpapers. Has 10 hand coloured plates including fruits - all well centred on page (this is unusual because most copies of this period are badly positioned with small edge loss) without loss to image. "The Queen Pineapple" from page 503 is a good example of these plates. Colours bright. 1120 pages with line drawings of plants. Also 142-page supplement. Some ex library stamps on text pages. Some foxing but text clean. Attractive frontispiece and title page with some foxing. 2 volumes.
